CanExport Innovation now supports non-travel related activities.
We are currently accepting new applications for CanExport Innovation. We commit to a decision within 40 business days. In light of COVID-19, CanExport Innovation now supports non-travel related activities. Requests for funding for activities requiring travel will not be considered until travel restrictions have been lifted. We encourage you to make informed decisions to minimize risk and protect your health and that of your employees. Please refer to the Government of Canada's travel advisories for the most recent information. Consult our program-specific advice to understand how COVID-19 may affect your activities. Innovators from Canadian organizations may access up to $75,000 in funding to assist with research and development (R&D) for a single technology. We cover up to 75% of costs to pursue and sign collaborative R&D agreements with international partners and investors. What activities do we fund? We support the following non-travel activities: Applying for intellectual property protection in international markets Applying for certification in international markets Seeking expert legal and business advice Shipping technology to determine feasibility/compatibility with a partner's technology Translating, adapting and creating promotional plans or materials Attending virtual networking functions, meetings or conferences When travel resumes, we also support: Travel abroad or in Canada to meet with pre-identified foreign partners Travel abroad or in Canada to meet with pre-identified foreign investors Attending an event or conference to meet with pre-identified foreign partners or investors Who can apply?
