We are reaching out to inform you of a funding opportunity being released by the US Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology Directorate (DHS S&T), under the Silicon Valley Innovation Program (SVIP) that is open to Canadian small and medium-sized companies.

The DHS S&T Broad Call is looking for applications from industry pertaining to COVID-19. This topic call is seeking ground-breaking solutions that can address one or more of the following DHS scenarios:

  • Test & Validation Service for Security & Privacy of Contact Tracing Apps
  • Video Analytics for Self-Screening at TSA Checkpoints
  • Methods to Rapidly Disinfect Surfaces at TSA Checkpoints and other DHS Facilities
  • Collection and Integration of Authoritative Quantitative Open-Source Information
  • Stand-Off Methods for Point of Entry Detection at DHS Facilities

SVIP seeks applications from non-traditional government contractors, with less than 200 employees (including parent and subsidiary companies), and must not have been a DHS contractor in the past 12 months, nor have been a contractor or sub-contractor to any FAR-based contracts totalling US$1,000,000 in the past 12 months.
